This is one of my favourite dishes ever..lol! I used green cabbage since that is what I have. I also used 1 tbsp maple syrup instead of honey and 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar. Thank you so much! I plan to make this over and over again. Permanent staple!
Believe or not I discovered this recipe on your channel and I lost track of how many times I have made this ever since. I don't get tired of it and it so, so, so delicious!❤❤❤❤💖💖
It is a German recipe. Well what you are cooking is more American adapted. By the way Germans use bay leaves. So you wouldn’t eat on St. Patrick’s Day. 😂😂
Just made this today because I have all the ingredients at hand, so why not? The goat cheese is the cream on top! This dish is so warm and tender with the perfect sweet and sourness. Perfect to pair with some lemon tea! I love the interaction between you and your husband by the way. You guys are really cute together and it makes me happy.
Hi all, My Mom Mad this when we were young. She's 80 and refutes this now. Lol. She was the best cook ever!
I would like to preserve this braised cabbage dish. I know I need sterilized bottles. Will the Balsamic Vinegar be enough to give this at least a 6-month self-life, or does it have to be stored in the refrigerator? Thanks in advance.
I love cabbage with onions! They are great complimentary flavours. Ive never had it with apples, and i don't usually like fruit in most savoury food so I might not like it, but I definitely want to try it at least once.
I see this red cabbage very often at the buffé in restaurants here in Germany…i think is very traditional here. I take it everywhere i see it. I love it! Good to see how it is cooked though. Just bought everything and preparing it later during this day 🙃. Thanks !👍

Why not put cabbage in a bigger pan, cook on low heat with a lid on it

Looks delicious. Thanks for this.
Have you made this with a little star anise (or Chinese all spice), cinnamon and cider?
All your recipes just amazing ! Thank you ♥️
What is the green garnish?

Woah! 🤗 Awesome, thanks for beautiful cooking
Omg goat cheese. That’s what I needed to push it over the top.
You need to sharpen your knife it's really painful watching you hack thru the apple and cabbage
Love, love this recipe! I make it often. I never thought I would be able to make a recipe like my favorite German restaurant. It's a keeper.
Tried it today! Simply delicious!
"If you want to keep it vegan, don't add goat cheese". You started with butter, so it's not vegan to begin with.
Yes it delicious

I'm HIGHLY allergic to onions. Can I omit them without any issues or does it effect the flavor too much?
wow just found your channel few days ago and I love all your recipes 🙂

do you think this would work with pear instead of apple? I don't want to go shopping and I have a pear at home
