My cottage cheese hack is to put the whole container in the food processor so it’s puréed and then I use it more like sour cream for dips with Ranch seasoning, or I sweeten it so it’s like a cheesecake dip. Or I use it like yogurt and add fruit. I like the taste of normal cottage cheese but sometimes the texture bugs me.
For tuna I keep it simple: salt, pepper, lemon juice, mayo, chopped onions, chopped mixed greens & herbs, and serve with crackers or a pita I toasted into a giant chip. 😆
Such a great help a video, I shop at Trader Joe's every week and I'm visually impaired so I don't know about some of these other things you mentioned although I love their salad and Fresh Soups. Going to try some of these, thank you!
I miss Trader Joe’s and I miss Meijer. We dont have Trader Joe’s in Canada. I always bought that pre-cooked frozen chicken. We don’t have that here. Doesn’t look like I can head over to Michigan any time soon either. I never order salads at restaurants because they’re always disappointing. Mine I make at home is waaaaaayyyy better.
Sorry for all the comments lol. I’m typing as I’m watching this so I dont forget. Tuna – ok I love tuna and buy lots of the flavored packets, but I even have a bunch of plain packets, too. I love to mix with cooked cauliflower rice that you buy frozen ( I get mine at Sam’s). Just mix the tuna with cauliflower rice and then I will add sometimes a sauce of some kind or just salt and pepper. It just depends on the flavor of tuna. If it’s plain tuna, I will mix with a little olive oil mayo. If you like curry flavor, I add curry. It’s good, trust me. Or you can mix tuna with frozen cooked peas and some mayo. I’m weird and like lots of flavor combos. I have tons of ideas.
Also, if you like hard boiled eggs, I recommend to EVERYONE to get the Dash egg cooker from Amazon. It’s like $15 and it cooks 7 eggs at a time. They have other ones that are bigger and cook more but I haven’t tried that. I swear by it, and have given them as gifts and everyone loves it. Game changer. And you don’t have to do anything. You just fill this little water reservoir, puncture the eggs with this little tool they give you, set the eggs on the thing, cover and press start. Done. This loud buzzer will go off when it’s done and then I put them in cold water and let them sit for however long you want. Then they are so easy to peel and are perfect. No boiling water, which is what I hate more than anything.
I LOVE cottage cheese. I will get the low fat kind and its sooooo good, especially mixed with fruit like blueberries or banana slices or pineapple. I used to think it sounded so disgusting, but it’s soo good. It’s like salty and sweet, if you like that combo. Yum.
Love this video! I hope we get to see some of these meals put together either here or on Instagram! Would you be able to do this with Target, as well? Thanks! 🙂
Sorry for such a long comment I live on smoothies in the spring and summer. I'll do a smoothie bowl for breakfast and/or a smoothie drink for lunch. I always go for the frozen fruits and veggies because they are picked at the perfect time and they hold the most nutrients. I watch my sodium because I have an inflammatory disease so I can eat food and at the end of the day look 5 months pregnant and get cankles 🤣
Great point having cooked chicken in the fridge to add to salads that one from Trader Joe’s is good!

how many orange Monsters did Lynette consume before this video because I am HERE FOR THE ENERGY 😂 & for baby Nach!!! 🤩
Omg nacho crying in the background 😂😂😂
I can only make rice in my instant pot. It burns every time I try and make it on the stovetop 😞😂
My fave tuna recipe is a can of tuna with low-fat cream cheese, and Buffalo sauce and a lil bit of shredded cheese 🤤
Okay Lynette I loved this video. Please please please more of these. And welcome back to YouTube, missed you!!!!
I love cottage cheese 😂
There isnt a Trader Joe's near me
