Gyudon (Bowl of simmered beef and onions) is one of the iconic Japanese fast casual food commonly known as Yoshinoya beef bowl. It takes just minutes to …
I've been working my way through all of these recipes and they're fantastic. The gyudon and katsu have been my favorites so far. Some of the best and easiest to follow cooking recipes out there.
I like to decrease the sugar content by a couple of grams and reduce the sauce a bit after taking out all the meat and onions. This recipe is a keeper for sure!
I made this double the recipe for 500 gr beef. Today I will make again because this recipe is absolutely delicious. Bye2 yoshinoya.. let me cook myself hahaha
THANKS FOR SHARING UNSELFISHLY AND ARTISTICALLY WITH CARTTON CHARACTERS ON THE SIDE THE SUMPTOUS RECIPES, REMINDS ME OF AUTHENTIC FOOD THAT I WAS ABLE TO TASTE WHEN I WENT TO JAPAN, NOW I CAN MASTER SOME OF THEM WITHIN MY BUDGET AND AT HOME FOR FAMILY MAKES COOKING FUN🙂🙂🙂
I really want to make japanese dish but its hard for me to find the exact ingredients. I live in a small town so there is no way to find those ingredients lol. Best thing i can find is dried seaweed the one you guys called nori and its sooo salty. Also you guys mostly use sake or mirin to your food right? Man i don't know where to find mirin here and i don't drink alcohol so sake is prohibited hahaha. Nice video btw 🙂 i enjoyed it
I followed this recipe and got good results. Good flavour. Thank you for producing this video. I do think the 750ml of water yields too much sauce. Something around 150 to 200 ml would be more appropriate?
My gyudon is a bit too sweet after 15 minutes of weak flame simmer. Should I use medium flame nextime for the sugar to caramelize ? Or reduce amount of sugar and increase amount of soysauce ?
Hi Chef! Big fan here 🙌 Let me ask you, is it safe for the gohan electric pan to cook the rice with kombu-water? I’ve never used anything besides pure water in it 🙃
Heard Japan likes to make Grand Big Burgers. Saw a photo of an Egg Slut Burger once. It had hamburger, eggs, sausage, shrimp, two kinds of pork, and cheese. Not gonna lie I would eat that if I could make it. It's good to know Japan doesn't live fully by some dumb stereotype with Sushi. Also like Chicken "or Kirage". Some Americans aren't that ignorant as we used to be. But not also gonna lie a burger with Shrimp on top of it does taste good.😋

Hi,
Is there an alternative for sake? For halal food.
Thx
So yummy!😋
Thanks Chef . Will try this recipe 😍
So good , deserve a sub
Can you change sake with something else?
Will it still be as good without the sake? Is there a substitute for sake that you would recommend?
That was an absolute masterpiece
Good
Enjoyed watching this video my friend Really awesome views Thank you Stay connected
Wouldn’t Cooking the beef for 15 minutes overcook it? For hot pot the thin beef cooks instantly
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Been cooking “your” Gyudon for a half year now, nearly every week 😅 That’s how good it is. One pot is just literally ready any minute ✅
I can't find any kombu where I live which is really sad. I'll replace it with some red wine and left over stock. Let's hope it'll turn out chill
I made this and it turn out pretty good!! Thank you 😊
Where to buy the konbu dashi?
my friend used this video to make 牛丼、but it reminds me more of 生姜焼き to be honest. It was pretty good though!
Hi, I wanna try, but I'm a Muslim & can't consume sake. Any suggestion to replace sake for this recipe? Thanks in advance
Your written instructions and the detailed reasoning behind what you are doing is very helpful. Thanks.
Hi Chef! What beef cut did you use? Thanks
