😊 I used to make make this with frozen fruit specifically strawberries mostly blueberries, and I would blend these the frozen fruit and then blend it with the tofu. You know once I blended it into a bit of a mosh and add the tofu in there and blend it with the tofu, and it had a little bit of almond butter to give it that creamy milkiness when served almost frozen no you have to take it out in order to cut it to be honest and served almost frozen and with fake fake whipping cream on top to give it a garnish although sometimes I didn’t even do that I used to have stripes of chocolate you know and I say stripes to heat it up and then mix it with a little rice syrup and make these like really cute candy. Chocolate strips on top made a wonderful ice cream cake. You can serve it not frozen. It’s also delicious and it comes out like your chocolate mousse, although to be fair, there are other ways, other than tofu to make chocolate mousse and make it vegan but really the way you have it is really beautiful. I have got to put up videos eventually of what I do that makes things taste non-vegan, even though they are technically vegan, I said, technically, because they are, technically it’s because well they’re good enough to fool people who are meat eaters and they’re good enough the full about anybody who likes meat or dairy? Like I said it was most of what I learned. I learned because almost 30 years ago. It’s a little less than 30 years ago. My family had for health reasons to be vegan. It was the easiest way and back then we were macro as a macrobiotic, and nothing you could get none of the wonderful ingredients you can get now there was no vegan mayonnaise or at least not here and your only options were soy milk. There was no other options as far as milk was concerned if you needed to make other options yet to make it from scratch so I learn a lot on how to make things for people mostly because they have to for my son who apparently this is quite common among children, who are allergic to things that they’re not supposed to have a can send them in to anaphylaxis they like things they shouldn’t like to the degree that they don’t know how to say no, my son knew how to say no he just didn’t often want to say no, so I had to learn to give him alternatives that would be good enough that he would say yes to the alternative. That wasn’t always easy but at a very young age and it surprise people my son learn to say I’m sorry that’s for bidden for me that people were surprised of the 3 1/2 year-old kid. Say no thank you can’t have it kids can be taught anyone who tells you that they can’t really doesn’t understand kids but that’s just me. So are used to make those pies much like your pie you made and to this day my still my son still asked for it I’m using voice to text. I really hope this makes sense. I can’t correct it and I can’t see very well, I can only guess that it makes some sense. I like what you’re showing people although I think you can add a lot more in the tofu department. There are a lot of other things that can be used other than tofu, and have texture and taste and what not but I don’t want to digress what you’ve done is very very good, he just would’ve changed things a teeny bit one of the things I would’ve suggested. Is there a certain herbs and spices that we mix together give the flavor of meat specifically ground meat but like I said I get it you’re just trying to show basics and that’s good we were taught in macrobiotic years ago, that you should boil the tofu before you use it because a lot of tofu or not a lot of tofu can have bacteria in it hiding inside the tofu itself so when cooking with it, most people don’t think about this I imagined you probably wouldn’t because you to look very very healthy unlike me and so you wouldn’t think about it, but we were taught taught in macrobiotic. Let the water come to a boil. You put your tofu gently and then you turn it off. You take your tofu out, and, you have basically prepared it for the next point where you can drain it or as you did put weight on it to get any liquid out to use it for something else. A lot of people do don’t do that with the Tofat. I wanted to know I should say tofu, not too fat I don’t know why it does that tofu, it even made a mistake a second time I don’t understand voice to text anyway just curious if it’s just a macrobiotic thing. If you have some answer to that I’d love to know.

Another tip I was taught when coming to fry deep fry something and wanting to know if the oil is actually at the point in which it will bubble properly put in a chopstick simple as that.

You should tell people what your mock buttermilk mixture is made from. Otherwise they might be confused as to how this is vegan. I know it sounds stupid, but there are people out there who will make that mistake.

The recipes are great guys but Jasmine, maybe say it’s savory or smoky with a hint of sweetness like more descriptive instead of “it’s so good” other than that W video! 👍

Tofu picks up what ever you cook it with. Far superior to meat. As you have that flavour eg sauce to the last chew.

I made the lemongrass tofu and it was delicious. Only thing I did different was added some traditional Trinidadian green seasonings ( cilantro, habanero, pimento, garlic, celery and chive mined together) to the tofu after it was fried to marinate while I made the sauce. Very flavorful indeed.

Though I’m not vegan/vegetarian, I’ve cut out red meat nearly completely. I’ve really been trying more and more plant based meals. Impossible “meats” and I love tofu. It’s just like…chicken. Bland and plain naturally, but that’s the best part!! They soak up all the flavors of the dish!
