HOLY. CRAP. I made this for my family for dinner tonight and it is hands down the best dish I have ever made, possibly best dish I've ever eaten in my life. Sooooo delicious, it's like better than restaurant quality. Also shockingly easy to clean up after, too! THANK YOU NISHA!!!! Will be making this again very very very soon
I have made this a couple times now for my non vegan, meat eating family (I have 3 teenage boys) and they love it, I serve it with coconut rice or regular basmati rice cooked with some spices and a little ghee. I have to double the recipe and we still have almost no leftovers.
Thank you for sharing! One question (sorry if you have already answered it) – could I keep this in the fridge for a few days after cooking? I think it would be great to batch cook for the week ahead.
Made this tonight for dinner and it turned out incredible! Very simple recipe, only a few ingredients (as long as you have a stocked spice rack) and I had plenty of leftovers for lunch tomorrow 👌
Couldn’t sleep, so I decided to make this six in the morning. It was incredibly delicious! I also made the garlic nan bread and it was amazing. My family had this for breakfast haha
So, I love to try different foods and this is on my stove right now. My boyfriend won't eat plant-based, so his serving will have chicken in it, but mine is going to be the original recipe (except I did not have almond butter, we used peanut but reduced it by half so it doesn't overpower everything). Will updated once we try to let you know how good I just know it's going to be!
Saved to my recipes! I want to make this for my boyfriend as an introduction to Indian food. He’s very skeptical of trying different cultural food but he said he would try this! Looks so good!
Can't get cerano peppers where I am. Should I use 2 jalapenos or half a scotch bonnet? I don't want to spoil the dish. Just found your site. 🙂 Greetings from Northern Canada.

Looks great. Would go really well as a side with tandoori chicken or lamb.

"We're done here" classic vegan reaction when being corrected on a fact
What could I use instead of peppers? Unfortunately I am extremely allergic to them.
