Chef Dai shows how he cooks and prepares Japanese Beef Tataki in the restaurant. This is a simple yet really delicious dish that has been a firm favourite …
The cooking looks great but this is not a beef tataki, only raw meet with random things. A tataki needs to be marinate at least 1 day in soy sauce, mirin, sugar and much more. That gives the realy unami flavour !
Rather than adding chilli to the grated daikon radish, have you tried cutting a gutter in the radish and filling the gutter with sliced red chilli…and then grating it? Apparently this is how a certain restaurant in Japan makes that dressing
How long until you guys became comfortable eating rare meat? I'm still a bit risk-averse, food poisoning is never fun, so I've been overzealous in my attempts to avoid it.
Why did he put the tomato in the sink :(. The sink is where dishes are washed, even if it was sanitized before hand I cant see how that is good practice
even though I like my steak rare I don't like seeing the fat remain white in the middle like this. I guess I like to cook mine at a slightly lower temperature for slightly longer.
Opera d'arte!

How to make garnish with a side of beef
I hope that sauce nullifies the strong flavor of red onions
How is raw meat appetizing
Everyone complaining about how cooked the beef is or isn’t. I’m just curious how quickly the dish would be prepared during business hours.
"Pour in a glug of cooking oil." Very fine English. He also uses such words as score instead of cutting the tomato skin. 👌
And three days later your dinner is ready…..
ALERT!!! ALERT!!! ALERT!!!
STEAK DIFFICULTY LEVEL = ASIAN !!!
