Oh my goodness.. I've never known about this recipe. We live Jimmy Dean sausage products because its the best flavor Recipe and it's so good that one of my Sister's using the same loose Jimmy Dean Sausage to make her own Homemade breakfast Mexican Chorizo ..yum. ☺ anyhow putting that aside.. I can't wait to try the SAUSAGE CHEESE BALLS! ..I might add more Sharp Cheddar cheese and serve up at my next family BRUNCH or gameday! 😋☀💐🏡💖 thank you Catherine and to both you and your hubby. I'm gonna have to try this recipe. I've been loving sausage balls for decades but I've never had any with celery in'em. Looking forward to eating these.
I bake the big batch & freeze them. In the mornings I grab some & heat them up in the microwave while I fry some eggs. It makes a fast, hot, breakfast for those busy mornings.

Friend of mine turned me on to these so many years ago…we have them with bone gravy (white cream gravy)
I used low fat Bisquick once. They fell apart.
I can’t believe how many versions of these are out there! I’ve always added browned sausage, 1 lb melted cheddar, then add them to 3 cups Bisquick. Roll them in balls, and bake till golden brown😋
They look delicious like every thing you make.

I used to make these all the time at Christmas along with tons of other things. My sister-in-law and I would make enough stuff to feed a small army. Now everyone is watching calories so we don’t do that any more. 😕

Love these my grandmother used to make a double batch bake them all then freeze them she would thaw out a bunch on Christmas morning heat them up and make some scrambled eggs, fast quickand on to Christmas dinner loved it

I also make this recipe (have been for 30+ years.) I use Jimmy Dean Hot sausage and Cracker Barrel or Cabot Vermont sharp white cheddar.. the Vermont sharp cheddar really takes these balls to the next level. For people who love it really spicy.. they should try Tennessee Pride hot sausage it's MUCH spicier than the Jimmy Dean hot.
